Exmissions

As children enter their 4-year-old year at TCS, our Program Director, Kristen, partners closely with each family to help identify the school that will be the best next step, whether that’s an exceptional local public school, a Gifted & Talented program, or one of New York City’s outstanding independent schools.

We guide families through every stage of the process. Each spring, we host information sessions covering both public and independent school admissions. From there, we meet individually with families to create a plan that reflects their child’s strengths, interests, and needs. Our classroom teachers prepare detailed reports, and Kristen communicates directly with ongoing schools to support each application.

We also connect families with TCS alumni parents, offering an opportunity to hear firsthand about their experiences at various schools. By the end of the process, families are equipped to make the decision that feels right for them and their child.

And while our students move on to new adventures, they often return to visit—reading stories to our current classes, sharing school updates, and reminding us that once you’re part of TCS, you’re always part of TCS.
