Application Process

Hi Families!

We are thrilled to share our learning community with you throughout the admissions process.  TriBeCa Community School is a welcoming and engaging place for young children to discover and explore their interests and construct knowledge through exciting and enriching experiences. Our warm, nurturing, and bright teachers work and learn alongside the children while providing a supportive environment in which children thrive.

We are looking forward to welcoming you this admissions season!

How to Apply for the 2026-27 School Year

1. Attend Open House or Information Session

Come learn more about our school and meet our team. Families are encouraged to register for an Open House or Information Session.

We also look forward to seeing you at the following events at TCS and around the neighborhood:

HRP Mamas School Fair Sunday, September 14 at 11:00 AM-3:00 PM

DECA School Fair Wednesday, October 8 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

TCS Annual Winter Fair Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM

2. Submit an Application

The application link for the 2026-2027 school year will be available here on September 2, 2025.

3. Take a Tour

Once an application is submitted, parents can schedule an in-person tour of the school via their parent portal. We are pleased to offer individual family tours so we have the opportunity to learn more about your child and family and also provide an in-depth overview of our program. Tours will be held during the school day and you will see each of our age groups (2s, 3s, 4s/5s) at both our 22 Ericsson Place and 124 Hudson campuses.  Please note that you may schedule one tour per family.  Families opting into Early Admissions must complete the tour by  December 1.

4. Join a Play Group

A small group of 6 children, accompanied by a caregiver, will have the opportunity to explore a classroom and get to know our staff, program, and one another. Each session will last around 30 minutes and will be facilitated by a TCS teacher.  Playgroups take place on select Saturdays and weekday mornings.  Play groups may be scheduled following your school tour.  Families opting into Early Admissions must complete the play group by December 6.

About Early Admissions

Early Admissions is designed for families who know that TriBeCa Community School is the right place for their child and family. If a family applies through Early Admissions but is not offered acceptance at that time, their application will automatically be moved into the Regular Admissions pool for further consideration.
